About David Bishop

Nationally recognized commercial photographer, David Bishop has spent most of his career in NY and is proud to announce that Nashville is now home to his new studio. He is located in The Gulch, one of Nashvilles hottest and most historic neighborhoods. David brings to Nashville the skills and experience from a career working with A-List clients in need of successful marketing imagery to create images of food, beverage, conceptual, people and product in the studio and on location. His clients include food and beverage companies, distilleries, breweries, hospitality, restaurants, chef’s, corporate-direct, farms and events, for advertising, promotion, packaging, cookbooks, on-line, magazines and blogs. His enhanced dimensional lighting is influenced by both contemporary and baroque art with a passion for the 17th century Dutch painters masterful understanding of light, resulting in his unique contemporary lighting style. His work displays a complex play of color, texture, and depth, drawing the viewer in to explore the imagery. “The lighting directs the viewer’s eyes" to the hero elements and then around the composition. His signature use of light ratios assures that the product remains the primary focus.

Much of the floral work seen online is now available as large dye sublimation metal prints. If you are not familiar with dye sublimation prints, they are a wonderful, new technology in which the photographic images are directly transferred, as a gas, into the aluminum. David’s work utilizes this remarkable process resulting in stunning photography with vibrant color and David’s signature dimensional quality.
